Hi,

I have modified the multi_role project to create my own required project. But when I execute the code in Flash_Release Mode the execution halts. The code executes for about 10-15minutes then halts. It usually halts midway between a displaay_printf().

Could this be an issue with the memory leak ? If so could anyone tell me how to troubleshoot it?

Hi Ammar,

I debugged the code and then paused the code when it halts and this is what it showed . Wpuld you be knowing what could be the cause of this?

I think it is due to a memory leak or a stack overflow, but how do I know for sure and how can I resolve it.

Hi,
When I try to use the stack usage view it just shows a blank window showing that stack usage view graphically display the stack details of the project.

Have you tried checking the stability of the multi_role project without any modifications?

I will test on my end and let you know what turns up.

I haven't experienced any issues using the Flash_release mode with Multi-Role. Were you able to test the multi_role project without modifications?

Hi Ammar,

Thank you for your time and effort. I did check the multirole project without any modifications and there seemed to be no issue. So I just increased the task stack size from 1024 to 2048 in my custom project and it seemed to work OK. But still I was not able to see the Stack Usage View. Anyways, the project does not seem to halt now.

Hi Ammar,
I did make the changes and was able to use the ROV finally. But there was no stack usage shown in there. So I tried the Stack Usage option under the View tab in Code Composer studio Version 8.2 and there it was just showing a blank screen.

Just to clarify, have you set a break point somewhere in the code first to view the stack usage at that point in time?

Actually I did not set a breakpoint. Instead I paused the execution.

Make sure to go to Tools>Runtime Object View. Then connect to the board and select Task under Viewable Modules to view the stack usage.
