CCS/CC2538: How to start Zigbee development in Code Composer Studio

Part Number: CC2538
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: Z-STACK, CC2530, CC2531

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I want to prototype ZigBee device based on CC2538. I understand CCS supports this chip (there's even an option to download its support during the installation). However I can't find any examples of the Zigbee app for that chip. In fact I can't even find the zstack itself...

I'll appreciate a bit of guidance with regards to setting up the CCS to the point I have an example Zigbee project for CC2538 compiling. I tried IAR too the trial is only 30 days and I can't download z-stack 3.0 for IAR too. Also I'm a linux user so CCS would work much better than IAR for me.

Regards,

Witek

  • As far as I know, there are no support for z-stack for CC2538 in CCS:

    1. Z-Stack 3.0.x is TI's Zigbee 3.0 compliant protocol suite for the CC2530, CC2531, and CC2538 Wireless MCU.

    • EWARM 8.22.1 for CC2538 Wireless MCU

    • EW8051 10.20.1 for CC2530 and CC2531 Wireless MCU

    2. Z-Stack 3.x.0 is TI's Zigbee 3.0 compliant protocol suite for the CC1352 and CC2652 SimpleLink Wireless MCU.

    • EWARM 8.20.2 for CC1352 and CC2652 SimpleLink Wireless MCU

    • CCS 8.2.0 or CC1352 and CC2652 SimpleLink Wireless MCU

    • TI Code Generation Tool 18.01.03.LTS for ARM

    • TI-RTOS 3_70_00_12
