Daniel,
When are you seeing this message? Is it during installation or after installing CCS and then running it?
It seems to be looking for an update repository for trace in your temporary folder.
If this is happening after install has completed then try removing this site from your list of update sites. In CCS if you go to Window -> Preferences. You can get a list of the update sites here:
Find that site, select it and click the remove button.

John

So did you download CCSv8.3 and then attempt to install over top of an older install?
Have you tried installing in a separate folder?
John
I think that one of the "TI Emulation" updates has added an invalid update site.
If I look at the list of update sites on one of my CCSv8.2 installs I see this:
That line "file:/C:/work/testNightlyBuild/...." is not valid. I bet it is from a developers machine and the update site was left in by mistake. Just select this line and click on the remove button and that error will go away.
I will file a bug to make sure that site gets removed from the product itself

John
I had a CCS 8.2 installation under Linux which I installed updates today, and one of those updates also added that same invalid update site. I got some errors during the update but didn't keep a note of them.JohnS said:That line "file:/C:/work/testNightlyBuild/...." is not valid.
After removing the invalid update site noticed that the About Code Composer Studio dialogue is displaying a blank CCS version:
I think I will re-install CCS in this case.
