CCS: CCS v3.3 installation problem (Error 1721)

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Running into an issue on installation of CCS v3.3 setup as i get the following error "Error 1721: There is a problem with the windows installer package.  A program required to complete this install could not be run.  Contact support personnel or vendor"..

I am running windows 10 and have the sufficient admin privileges and space.  

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello,
    Most likely there was some component bundled with the installer that was unable to be installed. The most common one is DSP/BIOS.

    Note that CCSv3.3 is not supported on Windows 10. If you must use CCSv3.3, I strongly suggest using Windows XP - which is last version of Windows officially supported. Many people still use CCSv3.3 in a Windows XP VM. Otherwise, please update your CCS version to something more current.
