CCS/TMS320VC5509A: FlashBurn issue

Part Number: TMS320VC5509A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CODECOMPOSER

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I am supporting a client who is using the TMS320VC5509A and has some issues when running FlashBurn. Here is what he says:

"We have a radio baseband board that uses the 5509A DSP connected to a Flash IC. On our software loading/JTAG PC we are running CodeComposer 3.3 with Flashburn 5.90.

Within CodeComposer I can connect to the target (we are using an XDS560 PCI card emulator) but when I run FlashBurn I get an error stating "Cannot Create Sink Object". Do you know how to rectify this issue? Our setup previously worked. Do you think re-installing Code Composer might fix the issue?

Also, most of our machines are now running Windows 7, will the XDS560 PCI card work with Windows 7 or will we need to purchase a new emulator? Is there a current equivalent to FlashBurn that we could use to write our images to the flash connected to our 5509A? What hardware/software will we require to achieve this on Windows 7?"

Thanks in advance for the help.
