Tool/software: Code Composer Studio
We have developed a product using the TM4C1294 and other TI micro controlers. We are approaching production and trying to set up a Factory Test computer with Windws 7 PC with the CCS8 development environment.
We have installed CCS version 8.1.0.00011 on the Factory Test computer. This is the same version installed on my computer which I will call Development 2 (I am not the principal firmware developer).
The CCS8 on the Factory Test comptuer shows very different properties for projects imported into a workspace than the Development 2 computer
Here is the Development 2 comptuer:
Here is the Factory Test computer
The left panel is different. Notice that Development2 has "CCS General" and the Factory Test has simply "General".
History:
Both computers are Windows 7. The Development 2 and Factory Test computer both are professional 64 bit.
Last May Development 2 computer was set up for CCS7 and CCS8 by me with guidance a developer who is no longer here and I was absolutely new to CCS at the time.
Just last week I reinstalled CCS8 on Development 2 to clear a problem where I could not even view project properties with out the IDE freezing, and IIRC, having to be terminated by task manager. (FYI: e2e.ti.com/support/tools/ccs/f/81/t/776861)
The Factory Test is only recently setup by another developer before I got involved. Trying to resolve the differences between the properties, I tried reinstalling CCS8 yesterday. This did not change the properties.
So both the Development 2 and Factory Test computer have the same version installed with in a week of each other, but still this difference.
We have had trouble trying to get our product firmware to build on the Factory Test computer (We have versions of Tiva ware in folders named "tivaware_c_series_2_1_4_178" and "TivaWare_C_Series-2.1.4.178" to resolve) and I want to get the IDEs the same before investing effort into trying to get the firmware to build.
Any insight anyone?
