CCS/CODECOMPOSER: CCS v9 failing to install (com.ti.cgt.dmed.win32)

Hi,

I'm facing a problem trying to install the Code Composer Studio v9, it stops at "com.ti.cgt.dmed.win32" every time. I have already disabled the anti-virus and ran the install as administrator, but still can't install it. Even went to cmd prompt and activated the "superadmin" mode.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro x64 and marking to install the MSP430, MSP432 and TM4C packages. Any help I would appreciate!

Could you reload your installer?

I had no issues.

I have, and I downloaded it again, still the same error. I'm suspecting that is something to do with Windows, because I have a friend that also had no issues with the installation.

I've also tried to install in Safe Mode. No luck =/.

I'm sure the answer is "yes" (since you installed as administrator) but I would like to still ask: Can you write to the below directory:
C:/Users/helde/ti/CCSExternalReferences

Also, can you provide all the install logs, not just for dmed?
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Troubleshooting_CCSv7

It looks like CCS tried to zip up the folder and failed. Try manually zipping up the folder with the logs.

Hi,

I've found the problem. Not sure if it was because the folder (ti/CCSExternalReferences) was hidden, or set to read-only, but deactivating both worked (the folder was automatically set to read-only after the installation).
