CCS/TMS320C6748: How to call timer.h functions in CCS V7.4

Hello

I am using CCS V7.4 and would like to call timer.h functions such as: USTIMER_init() and USTIMER_get()

In CCS V4 the .h and .c files were at the folder: ccsv4\emulation\boards\c6748\bsl

I can't seem to find this folder in V7.4. How do I tell the compiler where the .h file is?

The board I am using is OMAP-L138\TMS320C6748 EVM

Hello,
The BSL did not come with CCS. You likely installed it separately into your CCSv4 installation. See the below link for more details:

Yes of course, you are right, it was many years ago...

More options to measure time?

1) Can the Profile clock be used? (Run -> Clock -> Enable)

2) Is there is software support using time.h functions like clock()?

Yes, it is an easy way to count cycles from point A to point B:

Support for that is with the RTS lib for the compiler.

If you are using BIOS, there are also other techniques for benchmarking that you can use.
