CCS: Code Composer Studio 9 requires Windows 7 service Pack 1 installed on Windows 10 Pro Workstation

Hi all,

I'm trying to install CCS9.01 on Windows 10. Immediately after starting up the installation an error message "Code Composer Studio requires Windows 7 service Pack 1 installed" occurs in any case. As result the installation process failed. Who is to blame? The same happens with the CCS8 installation...

Apparently, does not know CCS if Windows 10 used at this stage.

The desktop data are: Windows 10 Pro Workstations with Xeon W2155 CPU.

A name of installation file is CCS9.0.1.00004_win64.zip

I am thankful for all help and information.

Hi all,

I would give last info. Yesterday I've full upgraded my W10. The version is 1809 04.2019. That is the latest .
I suppose, if SP for W10 exists , then the v.1809 contains it..
Unfortunately, it doesn't help. A same fault still occur.

Who have same problem with W10 Pro for WS?

Hello Alexander,
your issue looks strange.
Please zip and post your ccs_setup_9.0.1.00004_install.log
Maybe someone could help you.

In other post you have mentioned about coping CCS installation from VM Win7 system into Win10 environment.
Your issue could be related to that.
I recommend you to remove all files and folders related to Win7 VM based installation.
Consider to remove TI folders from your "User"/AppData directory.

Hi Tom

I have solved this problem via install with login in W10 as Administrator. I tried to start the installation of CCS9 and it started fine now without any messages. Pleas check whether it works for you.

I always install TI CCSs, compilers and products with admin rights.
Works fine.
