CCS/TMS320F280049: Compliler and CCS version

Hello expoert,

Our customer wants to use TMS320F280049 with compiler version
ti-cgt-c2000_18.12.1.LTS with CCS version 7.3.
Is that possible or are there any issue by this miss match?

Fujinaka-san,
CCS is designed to handle cases where you wish to use compiler version different than the one it came with. Hence, it should be fine.

Just another question from our customer,

They want to stay at the CCS7.3, then they want to know if there are any reason moving to CCS8 or 9 .

If they are happy with CCSv7.3, then it is their decision. The advantage of updating CCS is to get the latest bug fixes and enhancements. Later CCS versions would also have updated Eclipse and CDT versions. And finally, the latest CCS versions have the best support.
