CCS/TMDX654GPEVM: Out-of-the-Box "mem-util" build errors

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Follow the example to build the "mem_util" project:

CDT Build Console says Build Finished with 0 errors and 0 warnings. The "mem_util.o" and "mem_util.map" are generated fine. But there are 21 Errors in "mem_util.c" in the "Problems" window. It is really confusing. How can this happen? Note this is straight out-of-the-box, nothing changed.
