CCS: CCS Version 6.1.2 doesn't open in Ubuntu 16.04

Hi everyone.

I've a very fool doubt about how to run CCS 6.1.2 in Ubuntu 16.04. I tried many times with double-clicks CCS 6.1.2 icon to open it but only the launch appear. I don't now if is an internal issue of ubuntu or CCS was install in wrong way.

I need if is a problem that can solve or uninstall and install a CCS newest version.

Hi,

Did you check the dependencies mentioned in the reference below?
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Linux_Host_Support_CCSv6

If you can use a newer version, starting with CCSv6.2.0 the IDE is 64-bit native and therefore the chances of working on a typical Ubuntu install are higher.

We obviously recommend the latest CCSv9.0.1 for new projects, which is fully supported and in active development. However, depending on other conditions (legacy code, a combination of different dependencies such as older SDKs or devices) may lock you to this version.

Hi.

In this website (http://www.ti.com/tool/ccstudio) appears the CCS V8 only.

Hi,

Please apologize; the website indicates release 8 but when you click on the "Download" button, it actually expands to show the latest 9.0.1.
