CCS/TMS320F28027: Problem porting CCSv6 project to CCSv9 -- Unknown referenced nature

Part Number: TMS320F28027
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

CCS Team,

I have a C2000 CCSv6 project that imports to CCSv8.3 with no issues.  However, when I tried importing to CCSv9.0.1.00004 and built it, I get a project warning at build time:

Unknown referenced nature: com.ti.ccstudio.managedbuild.core.ccsNature.

and if I click the warning it opens the .project file of course, here:

Why am I getting this warning, and how do I properly eliminate it?  I can delete the offending line from the .project file and it seems to be OK, but then it seems like the project porter should have taken care of this.

Thank you,

David

  • David,

I will check with a developer what is the proper course of action to overcome such obscure error (I couldn't find any references online), but would you mind sharing the original v6 project?

    Cheers,
    Rafael
  • Rafael,

CCSv6 project is attached.  It is self-contained and doesn't need any additional external files.

  • David,

Thanks; I can reproduce this issue as well.

In fact, I found some ancient projects (pre-v6) in my PC that also have that "nature" feature as well and they also show in v9 as a warning.

With this in mind, I filed today the Jira CCSIDE-3594. Please check its status in the link SDOWP in my signature below.

    I apologize for the inconvenience,
    Rafael
