Part Number: CC3220SF-LAUNCHXL
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3220SF, CCSTUDIO

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello All,

My customer needs a short introduction how to use Eclipse CCS at MacOS. The goal is to compile provided at dev.ti.com/tirex example for CC3220SF and upload one to LaunchPad.

Done on iMac:

  Installed :

            Applications folder

                      CCS 9.0.1

                      simplelink_cc32xx_sdk_3_10_00_04

                      xdctools_3_51_02_21_core

             <user>/TI folder

                      CCSExternalReferences

                      tirex-localserver-3.7.0

                      tirex-product-tree

                      zips

In system folder Launchpad   TI    folder has been created

Issue:

My customer is launching TI app which launch  Eclipse CCS. The customer opens  Workspace and try to import the project. Error screen appears.

Best regards,

Dmitry

  • Dmitry,

I believe they are running Eclipse instead of Ccstudio.  To use CCS it is recommended to start the application with Ccstudio.  Based on the Welcome screen that is being shown they are running Eclipse.  The shortcut that was created on the desktop would be to Ccstudio.

There is a step by step tutorial for using CCS that covers CC3220SF here:

Based on the error message being shown I worry that they may not have installed support for CC32xx when installing CCS.

The box below needs to be checked when installing CCS.  If they did not do that they can run the CCS installer again and point it to their existing installation and it will allow them to add support for CC32xx.

    Regards,

    John
