Hi,

I found DVT-1834 and am experiencing the same issue in Code Composer Studio Version: 9.0.1.00004 on Windows 10. Has a work around been identified? The 2x per second execution of the cmd.exe /C "dir /-c C:" is interacting with other programs that my company has put on my machine and is consuming a lot of CPU all of the time. Is there any way to disable this?

Hi Chris,
Can you try setting the "Minimum disk space to keep free (in GB)" to "0" under the "CCS -> Advanced Tools -> Disk Usage" workspace prefences?

Hi Ki,

I made that settings change and at first glance it may have decreased the frequency of execution of the repeated cmd.exe /C "dir /-c C:". Is that what you expected to see?

Note: I made the settings change, restarted CCSv9, verified the settings change had saved, restarted CCSv9, then observed the execution of the cmd.exe.

yes, that is the workaround implemented for DVT-1834.

I just wanted to confirm that there is no way to stop this from occurring, only to slow it down?

It should greatly reduce it (assuming it is the same issue described in DVT-1834). Do you see it often still? And do you also see instances of conhost.exe?

Hi Ki,

I sure do still see it, every time I open CCSv9. I have found that I can stop it by going back into the workspace settings and again setting the "minimum disk space to keep free" to 0 (even though it is already set to 0). It'd be nice to have this fixed.

Ok, I see this also. I need to press "Apply" again even though it is still set to 0. I'll look into getting this fixed
