CCS/LAUNCHXL-CC2650: CC2650 launchpad project 0 in ccs v9

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC2650

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am using the ccs v9 and I am not able to import the project 0 via resource explorer. I didn't find any option to enable resource explorer classic so I am very lost on how to move on. I tried to install ble stack and tried to import a simple peripheral project but when I try to debug it nothing happens in the end and I am not able to get any results. The same thing happened when I tried to use ccs v6 and imported the project 0. In the final output on the console when I burn code is "resetting the board" and the red light glows on the launchpad and nothing happens afterward. I am very hopeless at this point and would appreciate any kind of help.

  • Abhishek,

Resource Explorer Classic is not present in CCSv9.0 and later.

However you can import examples from the BLE stack and SimpleLink Academy via the Project Import Wizard.

However I would probably stick with an older version of CCS for this device.

You mentioned that you are now trying CCSv6.  Is that CCSv6.1.3, CCSv6.2.0....?

  • Hi john, Thanks for replying to my query. I am able to now import the project into the ccs. I have tried both ccs v9 and ccs v6.2 but I still face one problem. I can build the ble project and when i burn it, It gets stuck on an infinite loop b/w two lines. I have made no change to the code so I don't know why this happens. I have tried other codes like I2C or pin interrupt which works fine but any code including ble gets stuck on the same two lines. Any idea what might be causing that?
  • Abhishek,

I will loop in a BLE expert to help.

    John
  • Hi Abhishek,
Please only use the CCS version recommended for the SDK you use. Please see release notes for details.
