Compiler/AM4378: thread safe support

thread safety is related to the programming concepts, not to the C compiler. 

Which OS environment: Linux, TI-RTOS, VxWorks?

In case of each particular library and its version you should to check thread safety features.

OS is 3rd-party RTOS or non-OS.
This question is because this customer program uses the ti-cgt-arm_XXX.LTS compiler library.
ARM Compiler RealView describes thread safe support for each function.

let me explain my perspective toward thread safety. 
On "small" TI devices, when using the C compiler, basically speaking, I have 3 levels when accessing an MCU resources: 
- register level
- driverlib
- TI drivers, which are thread-safe.
