  • Hello,

I assume an "xdsdfu -e" also yields similar results. It looks like the Windows drivers did not get installed correctly. Do you have administrator rights to you PC? If so, can you log in as an administrator (if you are not so already) and try to reinstall the Windows device drivers?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

The xds110 of IWR6843 was working correctly on this PC previously, the other XWR1642 board is still working correctly with this PC. this xds110 connection issue occurred after below steps.

    1. load xwr68xx_ccsdebug.bin on IWR6843 board.

    2. open CCS and use lab0020_pplcount_Overhead (industrial toolbox 3.3.1), load ods_pplcount_dss_68xx.xe474 and ods_pplcount_mss_68xx.xer4f onto the board, then run it accordingly.

    3. execute main_pplcount_viz.exe from GUI_B_gui_filteringLogic folder under  lab0020_pplcount_Overhead.

Was the application running correctly and the issue is occurred when trying to connect to the board again afterwards?

I assume your device manager does not look like the graphic in the screenshot below:

What does your device manager look like when you plug in the board? What changes do you see to it when you plug it in?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

the IWR6843 board was working previously on my Win 10 PC, and it's not showing any data/uart port under device manager now. Also, i have tried another XWR1642 board and it's working with this PC. So, assume this connection issue is not related to my Win 10 PC. Is there any cause of why the XDS 110 stopped  working on IWR6843 board, is this HW issue? thanks!

But when you plug it in, do you see any new entries in Device Manager? Anything under "Other Devices"?

I'm asking, because I recently dealt with another customer who is using an IWR6843 board and lost the ability to connect to their device. The issue was that somehow the Windows drivers for the XDS110 got uninstalled and they didn't have the permissions to reinstall the driver when connecting to the device.

Now, based on the information you gave me, your issue sounds different than this other user. But it wouldn't hurt to try logging in with administrator rights and then see if the drivers can get installed (assuming your standard account does not have admin rights).

Assuming the above mentioned issue is not the case, it looks like flashing the target somehow put the target in a bad state. I will try and find an IWR6843 and retry the same exact steps you tried.

    Thanks

  • Hi Ken,

Just checking with you to see if you saw my last reply, and if you have any responses to my questions.

    Thanks

  • Hi Ki,

I have purchased another new IWR6843ISK board and it's working w/o issue with my original environment. Therefore, there is HW issue occurred with the original 6843 board somehow after some of my testing. Thanks!
