CCS: Unable to open Eclipse Marketplace

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello! I am trying to install the viPlugin for Eclipse (assumming that it will work with CCS Version: 9.0.1.00004) from https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/viplugin.

The website says to open the Eclipse Marketplace but I am getting an error (it may have to do with the fact that I am on the corporate TI network?)

Error when opening Eclipse Marketplace:

Cannot open Eclipse Marketplace
Cannot install remote marketplace locations: Cannot resolve host

This is most often caused by a problem with your internet connection. Please check your internet connection and retry.

    Hi Michael,

    I'm seeing this also. It works with CCSv8.3.1 but not CCSv9.0.1. I'm still looking into this and will let you know of any progress.

    What does your Network Connections settings look like? Are you missing last option highlighted below?

    Hi Ki,

    I don't see the dynamic option, but I was able to fix this issue after consulting with an employee at my office. Because we are on the TI network, we need to set the HTTP and HTTPS hosts to the TI proxy and connect manually:

    Yes, you found the workaround. But it should have detected your system settings and applied it automatically (that 4th entry). I'm wondering why it was missing for us, but others see it (inside our internal network). Are you on Windows 10?

    Yes, I am running windows 10. According to other employees in my office, they were required to manually type in the proxy URL and port with the latest version of CCS.

    Yes, that seems to be the case. I was not aware of this. How did your colleagues find out about this?

    Due to the use of a proxy in the TI network, my co-workers run into this issue often with other programs. Just today the person next to me couldn't push to a github repository as his git config file wasn't configured for a proxy connection. Because this type of issue is so common for a developer, they knew the correct proxy URL and port to fix this issue. 

    This issue seems to affect TI internally (or anyone on a network using a proxy), rather than the general CCS user.

    This is something that TI internal users did not have to do in the past. It is something specific to Windows 10 and CCSv9 it seems.
