CCS/DRV8353R: THE 8353's SPI have no response

hello,i'm a student design a board used DRV8353RSRGZR,and i using friend's code ,i can see SCLK /SDI/nSCS on oscilloscope,nFault is hign ,EN is high,but the problem is SDO always high ,,i have no solution ,could you help me ?thanks

  • hello,Now the situation is,somi have data at A few seconds(Sometimes it lasts about ten minutes. ) after the power is turned on,and then ,somi is high and no data appear.

    somi have data :EN is high ,fault is high 。

    somi have no data :EN is high,fault is  high.board power about 4W(no short)

    sclk is 5MHZ ,simo dispatch read orders 16KHZ,spi mode is 0  0。in proram 28379 always read and no write,

    i have no idea now ,and i dont know how to solve. may you help me ?

  • Hi,I know the direction of the test.this way ,i test VGLS of single trig on oscilloscope,it seem as 200ms ,No decimal point....think deeply:It's not a coincidence.Then I remembered one thing:THE PWM always send to 8353,Will the MOS short ,and 8353 cut  self?so i stop PWM ,SDO have data for long long time .then i checked that C PWM H and L coexistence,8353 will “cut self”,now im going to check C MOS

    But I couldn't find a description of 8353“cut self” on datasheet still.

  • The answer is: if i set IDRIVEP_HS value what greater than 350mA ,and IDRIVEN_HS greater than 700mA,8353 will dead.SPI  have no data ,VGLS and DVDD Being pulled down.

    and i set current less than 350mA + 700mA ,everything is OK .

    I guess it's because the current setting is too large that the switch overshoots and kills 8353.
