CCS/TMS320F28379D: Conversion of floating point to fixed point using IQmath

Dear all,

I want to convert floating point to fixed point and the other way. For 16 bit, 3 bits integer and 13 fractional (for example). How can I achieve it? Also is it possible using IQmath, but not the format 1.15 or 1.31 as described in manual.

Vidhi,

You can use IQMath for the conversion. You will want to change the default Q value to 13 in your case, or Q29 if you are using 32-bit.

Everything else applies as explained in the IQMath user guide.
