CCS/TMS320F28335: Device Locked

Hello Everyone,

We are facing device locked issue with TMS320F28335 controller while trying to connect through XDS510USB Emulator by using code composer studio 5.5.

We are trying test the connection between emulator and target by clicking Test Connection button through CcsImagedownload.ccxml file of CCS5.5 and we are seeing following error in the Test Connection window.

Please check the below screen shot for the same.

Also we are facing device locked error while trying to debug the program

Requesting your quick support on above error. Let us know the device unlock procedure.

o let us the precautionary measures to take in future to protect device not to go to lock mode.

Have you downloaded SPRACF0 and taken a look at the debug tips?

What is the history of this device? Was it programmed with a file containing passwords?

If the device is locked, CCS won't be able to connect to it. Please see section 6.1.10 Security (page 104 in SPRS439O) for information on how to establish connection. If the device is locked with an unknown password, I am afraid nothing much can be done other than to replace the part. The password location of a device could be inadvertently corrupted if the erase/program process is interrupted due to a brownout/blackout.
