Dear TI:

I have made a list below to describe the problem I encountered.

REFERENCE:

1.swru375d, CC3100 SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi®and IoT Solution Getting Started Guide ---User's Guide

DEVICE:

1.CC3100BOOST 2.CC31XXEMUBOOST 3.MSP-EXP430F5529LP 4. a PC with windows10 home system

SOFTWARE:

1.CCS | 6.1.0.00104 2.MSPWare for CCS | 2.40.00.37 3.Visual Studio | 2010 with SP1 Update 4.CC3100SDK_1.2.0 5. CCS UniFlash v3.2

At first, I can't follow this User's Guide successfully，then I ask for help. A staff of TI told me the test environment of CC3100BOOST, so I installed the softwares above.

in Getting Started section，I failed to flash the CC3100BOOST, and it shown

--Error connecting to the device. Please check your COM port settings. Error code: 1

BUT it work successfully in VISUAL STUDIO

BUT it does not work successfully in CCS, which is the most important part for me. It shown

--Error initializing emulator: No USB FET was found

When I plug the USB into my PC，It appears this，which means General USB Hub.

download and install the latest CC3200 SDK v1.4.0

Follow SDK's documentation.
You will have the following dependencies:

I'm sorry but I failed to follow your instructions，there are so many hinders along the way.

my device is 3100, not 3200

1.there are two versions of CCS8.3, one is v8.3.0 and another is v8.3.0. I finally chose the v8.3.0.

2.where can I download the SimpleLink host driver 1.0.1.13 ?

3.I follow the instruction of swru376e--CC3200 SimpleLink Wi-Fi and IoT Solution With MCU LaunchPad Getting Started Guide, but i felt it“s hard to follow the instruction of a book which have little similarity with my situation. I thought anyway, gave it a try. so I took nearly 3 hours to operate, only to found that It still didn't connect to the target. It appeared

Hi,

You need the CC3100SDK: http://www.ti.com/tool/cc3100sdk

Any version of CCS will work (you can also chose CCS 9.x).

SimpleLink host driver is icluded in the SDK.

I assume you are getting this error because you were not using a project compatible with your device. If the problem persists, please have a look to the last post of this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/wifi/f/968/t/383065
