CCS/AM3359: NDK project example

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

There does not seem to be a clear project path to use the NDK that I can see. I have built the libs and see everything in NDK core stack (cfg) file. As I go thru the documentation I add more files for hardware and stack links, but that end up need more and more files added to the project as I add these file more get requested. I don't see anywhere a simple project that would just allow me to build (CCS with RTOS) and ping the board. Is there one?

compiler 18.12.2.LTS

BIOS 6.73.12

NDK 3.40.1.01

XDC 3.50.7.20.core

Any help would be great!

Hi,

Not sure how you get started with AM335x with NDK, it seems that you just used NDK without a particular HW platform! You need to install the latest Processor SDK RTOS for AM335 device, http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/AM335X/latest/index_FDS.html Then look at the documentation:

Also the NIMU/NDK user guide: http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/docs/latest/rtos/index_Foundational_Components.html#ndk. There are NIMU_BasicExample_<AM335x_board>_armExampleproject you can import into CCS and build, then ping it (fixed IP 192.168.1.4).

The board/Target (ti.targets.arm.elf.A8Fnv). I have loaded the latest; however, it seems to only want to create the file/lib using GNU complier only. I have tried to create the 18.12.2LTS armExampleprojects but it won't compile. I believe its because the PDK want you to move the GNU complier? I will reload and rebuilt and see if I can get it to compile.

The following compilers are bundled with the SDK installer:

For ARM A8, we used GNU ARM Embedded, not TI ARM CGT.
