CCS/EK-TM4C1294XL: Ability to hide CMD files from Project Explorer view

Part Number: EK-TM4C1294XL

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Are you able to hide the CMD file in Code Composer Studio? See below for example -

I am having difficulties, let me know if possible.

  • Hi Justin,

What do you mean by "hide"? Do mean that you wish to exclude the file from the build? Or do you just wish to just filter it out from the Project Explorer view?

    Thanks

    ki

  • Yes, ‘filter' the files from display in project explorer. From the architecture described in the links shared I would expect this to be available through ‘Customize View’ as described -

    • "The Project Explorer view can be customized to show/hide various file types to reduce clutter in the view“

I was not able to show/hide the CMD file type using this method. Is this possible?

hmm... looks like the Project Explorer view does not support customer file name patters.

If this functionality is important for you, you can try using the C/C++ Projects view (under 'View -> Other -> C/C++ -> C/C++ Projects). This view does support it:

    Thanks

  • Hi ki,

This helped steer me to solution, working in all perspectives thank you!

    Procedure

    1. Set 'Filters and Customization'[1], [2]
    2. Make New Folder in project
    3. Drag desired content within
      1. e.g. .cmd, .ccxml, .defs, src/, etc.
    4. Refresh project

See attached for full procedure and notes, looking clean now -

    thanks
