CCS: Invalid command name "::ProgressPane::657618"

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I receive the following error whenever I try to update/install software using the App Center, or when I try to download new software using Window->Install new software. The software successfully downloads, but the issues happens when CCS restarts to install the downloaded software:

I click "OK" but then the CCS Installation window halts and I'm forced to use task manager to force the installation to shut down. The following window appears:

I reopen CCS afterward, but the software never successfully installed.

I first noticed this issue with version 8.3.1.00004, but it didn't bother me too much because my build environment was already set-up. However, I'm trying to upgrade to version 9.1.0.00010 now and this issue persists. This issue is preventing me from installing the software I need to setup my build environment.

Any guidance and would be greatly appreciated!

    Are you trying to install updates to your 8.3.1 installation or the 9.1.0 installation? The screenshot shows v8 so I'm trying to understand which version you are currently running and which updates you are trying to install when you hit this issue.

    If you haven't already done so, I would recommend doing a separate installation of 9.1.0 (after downloading from here), then try to install just the updates you need to set up your build environment. If you hit the same error, try disabling any anti-virus that may be running. If you still do not have any luck, let us know the specific updates you need to install and we will see what other alternatives we can provide.

  • Sorry for not being clear. The screenshot shows v8 because I tried installing new software to both v8 and v9 today, but just took screenshots of the v8 installation since the same thing was happening for both v8 and v9.

    I have already tried installing with anti-virus and firewall disabled, but the same issue persists on both versions. What I ended up having to do was download the code generation software manually (through separate software installers on the TI site)  instead of through CCS. I will follow this work-around with another other software I may need to add.
