CCS/TIDA-01604: CCS Solution Adapter will not start

Does the following file exist locally on your PC?

Yes it does.  I have an older version of the DigitalPowerSDK however (2.00.00.00).

Based on your first screenshot, I see that you do have 2.00.01.00 also (and that is what is selected in Resource Explorer). But i just noticed that it is inside a c:\ti\c2000. Did you install that one manually?

In any case, can you try using 2.00.00.00 from Resource Explorer? You need to select it like below:

I did install the SDK manually from a downloaded package, yes.

I switched to 2.00.00.00 in the start screen, but it is still not opening the "Project Destination Location" dialog.

Please try the following debugging steps:

1) open the ccstudio.ini file in <CCS7 INSTALL DIR>\ccsv7\eclipse and add the below line at the end:

-Djxbrowser-remote-debugging-port=<PORT NUMBER>

Replace <PORT NUMBER> with an available port number on your PC (ex: 8765)

Save the file

2) launch CCS and browse to the TIDA-01604 solution adapter in Resource Explorer

3) Open a web browser at address: localhost:<PORT NUMBER>

4) Click on the "TI Resource Explorer" link in the web browser

5) In CCS, click on the solution button

6) In the web browser, check for any new messages in the console. Do you see an error in the console about a bad request when trying to find the pfc1ph3ilttpl2.projectspec file? Like:

If you get a similar error, check your Digital Power SDK installation to see if the file exists in the path the GC is looking for it (should be <INSTALL DIR>\solutions\tida_01604\f28004x\ccs). 

If not, what other messages do your see in the console?

I Followed the instructions and got a similar error to what you show.

I also verified that the file is in the directory specified...

Ok, so that is the issue - it can't seem to find the projectsepc file. Note that for me to reproduce the issue, I had to intentionally rename the file to force the error. Otherwise, the file was found and I didn't get an error. 

the path in the console is truncated. Can you provide the full path? Try right-clicking on the link in the console and open in a new tab (or something similar).

also, don't forget to revert the ccstudio.ini file back to what is was (remove that last line you added). Enabling remote debugging likely slows down CCS.
