CCS "program load" fails and starts to work after reinstalling EVM driver

Please find the details:

CCS version: 3.3.82.13

Emulator: In built emulator on EVM board. A usb cable is used to connect EVM board to host PC.

Host OS: Windows XP

Also in your screenshot, I see you are configured for the TCI6488 simulator. You are using the EVM?

Sorry for the confusion. Could you look at the 2 sections on right side of the screenshot? this has the EVM board's driver details. on left-most side, it is similator. please ignore that.

I don't think i would be able to share the ".out" file, as it is propreitary file. it is around 3 MB file.

Do you see the issue with this particular out file only? Or have you seen the issue loading other executables?

I see it with other ".out" files as well, which also i may not be able to share. actually, i try to load 3 different ".out" files on 3 cores of this DSP.  most of the time, it fails for the 3mb file, which i load on core-1. But sometimes it fails for smaller file loads as well on other cores.

I am having a similar issue although I just need to launch the debugger again. Sometimes it takes two or three tries before it works correctly. On rare occasions (2-3 times per day) I have to close and restart CCS.

I am using 4.2.1.00004 but this has been occurring with previous versions of 4. I am connected to an LM3S8962 evaluation board and the debug out connector is connected to an RDK-IDM which is what I am currently working on.

Any help would be appreciated.
