CCS/BEAGLEBOARD-X15: GCC 8 could not be added to CCS9

Part Number: BEAGLEBOARD-X15

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi all,

I am trying to use SDK6 for Linux for Beagleboard X15 and trying to test features. I have downloaded SDK, CSS and GCC toolchain via the link: http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux-rt/esd/AM57X/latest/index_FDS.html

GCC is currently installed with the SDK but there is also an option to download separately and there is already link for standalone download. I have downloaded the standalone version of GCC and tried to configure CCS for it. The problem is I can configure CCS for older versions but not the version delivered within the link. (gcc-arm-8.3-2019.03-x86_64-arm-linux-gnueabihf)

As you see in the screenshot below, GCC 7 can be discovered by CSS but not GCC 8.

I appreciate if you can help me to figure out the issue.

Kind Regards,

Mustafa
