I have been using CCS v4 and SD XDS510USB to connect to my F2812 boards for a while now with no problems. But now, after upgrading CCS from v4.??? to v4.1.00004, I cannot debug my application any more.
I get the following messages "Exception occurred during launch", "Failed to initialise the Debug Server", "Unable to launch C:\Texas Instruments\emulation\drivers\sdgo28xusb.dvr"
Any ideas how can I fix this?
Richard

Hi Richard,
Could you confrim your CCS version? I don't recognize 4.1.00004 as a valid version. Select 'Help->About Code Composer Studio' to get the version number (ex. 4.1.2.00027)
Thanks
ki
Oh yes, actually it is v4.2.1.00004.
I swapped to another PC and have the same problem. It is also v4.2.1.00004
Also I belatedly read the wiki and have tried clearing all cache files, but this did not change anything.
Regards,
Richard
Update:
I uninstalled v4.2.1.00004 and reinstalled v4.1.3.00034 and now I'm up and running again.
So it seems to be related to CCS v4.2.1.00004. The problem occurs on WinXP SP2, and Vista SP1.
Regards,
Richard
That's odd. I can connect to my F2812 using an SD XDS510USB with CCS 4.2.1.00004.
If you want to try 4.2.1 again, perhaps you try some of the suggestions in the troubleshooting guide (using a new workspace, cleaning target cache files, etc)
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Troubleshooting_CCS
Also try using a new target configuration file.
I tried deleting the cache files, as per http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Troubleshooting_CCS
I tried a new workspace and a new target configuration file - I still have the same problem with 4.2.1
