Disassembly window blank

New in version 4.2.1 of Code Composer Studio, I've noticed that often the disassembly window is blank. This did not occur in version 4.2.0.

As a workaround, if you flip to another window and come back the contents are displayed. I have the disassembly, problems and Local tabs next to each other in the same sub-window. Flip to the problems or local tabs and back to disassembly to refresh the disassembly window.

Once the disassembly window is working it works for the remainder of the current debug session.

Peter,

What device are you using? They only differences between 4.2.0 and 4.2.1 are related to MSP430 support. Certainly seems like a drawing issue but I can't think of why it would show up in 4.2.1 and not 4.2.0. We have had some drawing issues on Win7 64bit.

Not 100% sure what you mean by device. Using Windows XP, MSP430 USB Debug Interface and MSP430F5438.

Hi Peter,

Can you take a screen capture of CCS, show the Disassembly view and the Debug view together? This might give me a clue why the Disassembly view is blank.

I am sorry to bring this question up again, but what was the final solution for this problem? (Blank Disassembly window, while other debug windows work as expected). CCS is version 4.2.3.

JohnS, yes the DLL did help.

Frank and JohnS, sorry I don't work this product or development platform anymore. Haven't done so for a long time. I have sent a msg to the engineer who took over that project when I left and asked him to answer your question on the forum. His name on the forum is Yong Liang.
