CCS/TMS570LC4357: Error #128 expected a statement

Part Number: TMS570LC4357

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi there,

I am learning coding ARM with CCS, trying to follow the training "How to Tutorial: turning on the LEDs" https://training.ti.com/hercules-how-tutorial-turning-leds?cu=1136292.

Codes in the HL_sys_main.c is attached,

/** @file HL_sys_main.c
*   @brief Application main file
*   @date 11-Dec-2018
*   @version 04.07.01
*
* This file contains an empty main function,
* which can be used for the application.

/* USER CODE END */
then I encountered some errors that I can not solve.

Could someone give me some basic lessons on this goal ?

thanks a lot.

  • Hello,

    The semi-colon at the end of the while(1) statement on line 88 is missing.

    Thanks

    ki

  • Hi Ki

    Sorry didn't see that small typo.

    now the GIO_LED.out file is being built. it still gets frozen at the automatic library build, see pic.

    does this have something to do with the while(1) loop ?

    It is building the required run-time library. This is a one time thing for each compiler installation. This can take a long time, even for high performance machines. Please be patient and let it build.

    No

    Thanks
