New in version 4.2.1 CCS is failing to program a MSP430F5438. Using Windows XP and 'USB-Debug-Interface MSP-FETU430IF'.
The following error is being display about 5 to 10% of the time:
MSP430: Program loaded. Code Size - Text: 32986 bytes Data: 59794 bytes
MSP430: File Loader: Data verification failed at address 0x000110E0 Please verify target memory and memory map.
Error found during data verification.
Ensure the linker command file matches the memory map.
The workaround is simple - program the chip again. Never saw this error using CCS version 4.1.3 or 4.2.0. Every time this error occurs the error message is the same, with the same address in the error.
By the way, what's maximum cable length allowed between the programming box and the CPU?
