Hi,
i have EVMDM642 board and XDS560 pci emulator and a PC running windows xp service pack 2.i am using the board for final year project on real time face detection.
i have following issues
1.when i plug the emulater in pci slot it asks for "PCI Simple Communications Controller" Drivers and " PCI Device" Driver, it seems that i have lost the cd of XDS560 pci emulator...kindly tell me where i can find it?
2.when i plug EVMDM642 directly into PCI slot, it asks for "PCI Device" Driver, how can i programe/wotk with EVMDM642 plugged into PCI slot?
i have searched for these drivers on ti.com but i can't get these drivers.
Kindly resolve my issues urgently... i will be very grateful.
Naveed,
The XDS560PCI emulator device drivers are supplied by Code Composer Studio. Try to reinstall the CCS version supplied with your board or download the new release (CCSv4) and see if you can get it to work properly. I am not 100% sure if the XDS560PCI works with Windows Vista or 7, though.
The PCI interface in the DM642 was not intended for emulation, but its PCI device drivers are available from Spectrum Digital support page:

Hope this helps,
Rafael
Dear sir,
I am new to CCS.
I need your guidance in implementing face detection over TI 's DSP TMS320DM642.
Please help me about how can initiate the project. And i have also looked upon the opencv implementation of face detection, plus started studying it back for the purpose of porting of code but haven't got much success as a newbie..
Please mentor me so that i can proceed in a step-by-step approach towards the successful completion of this task and starting a new work later.
Hope to receive a positive reply from you soon.
Thank you in advance.
Aditya
