Using CCS v4 with C2000 Motor kits

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

The documentation I have for the C2000 PFC Dual Motor kit shows installation and getting started with CCS 3.3 but I have CCS v4.x installed on my computer.

Apparently, the directions are different. Is there a set of instructions for CCS4.x or do I have to install CCS 3.3 in addition to 4.x?

I already have Baseline Software and controlSUITE installed.

The example code in the controlSUITE for this kit cannot find CCS4.

  • You may have older version of the software. For example, I know that the latest version of controlSUITE has examples and documentation that support v4.

  • This worked. Thank you.

I now have another issue. I managed to open CCS4 and import the LVMultiAxis+PfcKit_v1.4 and started compiling the different levels. When I got to Level 5, CCS locked up and I had to kill the window. When I open CCS again, I do not see the project.

I tried to re-import it but th 2xPM Sensorless project does not show up when I browse to the LVMultiAxis+PfcKit_v1.4.

I even re-installed the Vase Software and the controlSUITE with no success. I can se other kit projects but not this one.

I am new to CCS and the workspace stuff and can use some help.

  • Naji,

I wonder if you accidentally closed the C/C++ Projects view in CCS. In the CCSv4 environment, only one project with a certain name can be open at a time in the Projects view. So if you previously already opened the 2xPM_Sensorless project, then it will still be in the workspace unless you specifically "deleted" it from the workspace.

Make sure that you can see the C/C++ Projects view. If it not visible, go to menu View and click on C/C++ Projects to open the view.
