CCS/IWR1642BOOST: The mmWave Demo Visualiser cannot run with correct SDK Demo Version

Hi guys,

I am having a problem using the mmWave Demo visualizer with IWR1642BOOST. I am getting a status saying " SDK input version [major, minor ] = [3, 2] not matching [2, 0] reported by target, Hint: Change input version/target and try again. I have been using Demo Visualiser ver 3.2 and the demo from the industrial toolbox for xwr16xx. Can you please help me resolving this issue.

Hi Van,

It appears you have flashed your device with the binary from the mmWave-SDK 2.0. For this you will need to use the mmWave Demo Visualizer version 2.1.

I have tried your suggestion but they are still not compatible with each other.

It says " SDK input version [major, minor ] = [2, 1] not matching [2, 0] reported by target, Hint: Change input version/target and try again.

I then search for google of version 2.0 for mmWave Demo Visualiser and found this one https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/mmwavebeta/mmWave_Demo_Visualizer_Record/ver/2.0.0/ and it works, however, it has the name of mmwavebeta in its link so I'm not sure if this one will be available on the internet over the time. Moreover, do you have any links for 3.2 version of binary for demo of xwr16xx since I have been using the binary in the folder of SDK 3.2 but it appears to be of version 2.0 as stated in the mmWave Demo Visualiser screen so it is not compatible with version 3.2 I got for mmWave Demo Visualiser.

Hi Van,

This is because you have flashed your device with the binary from SDK 2.0 instead of SDK 2.1.

Please reflash it with the correct binary.
