CCS/TMS320F28023: How tu use and how to update the spelling dictionary

Part Number: TMS320F28023

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Win7(SP1) 32 bit, CCS 6.2, F28023

As I type some words are misspelled and under lined.

In help, I found General->Editors->Text Editors->Spelling, and can change some things.

I pointed CCS to use a custom dictionary, but it didn't seem to have any effect.

I have 3 questions,

#1, Is there a way to select a replacement word from a list of suggestions and how to do?

#2, Is there an easier way to add a word to a custom dictionary rather then manually editing a text file?

#3, After I created and added some words to the user dictionary, these words still show up as misspelled. Do I have to restart CCS?

Thanks. Mark.

  • For #3 no this should happen right away.  It does for me anyway in CCSv6.2

If I right click on a spelling mistake and ask it to add it to the dictionary it prompts me to specify a user file.

    I then do this

Immediately after do that the word I added is not identified as a spelling error.

For #2 I find the easiest way is the method above.  Just slowly build up the file.

For #1 it does not give suggestions that I have seen.

    Regards,

    John
