CCS/MSP430G2553: CCS Cloud availability on Raspberry Pi

I used to program MSP430G2553 with msp430-gcc on Raspberry Pi and 5529LP on Debian with CCS. It would be good to use one development system, so I would like to inquire availability of the CCS Cloud interface files on Raspberry?

    Hi,

    I am not entirely sure what you mean. Are you trying to run CCS Cloud on an embedded environment such as Raspberry Pi as the host? 

    If so, we don't support ARM linux distributions with our TI Cloud Agent - the component necessary to interface with the Debug Probe embedded into the development kits. 

    Otherwise, please report back what is the exsct development environment you intend to use our CCS Cloud tools.

    I am not quite sure what you are asking for.  CCS Cloud supports both MSP430G2553 and MSP430F5529.  

    Are you looking for CCS Cloud to:

    1. Access source file from your Pi's filesystem?
    2. Write the generated MSP program to the filesystem on the Pi (which would then program the MSP via BSL)?
    3. Allow you to debug the MSP430 via the connection to the Pi?

    Maybe you are looking for something different.  None of the above scenarios are supported by CCS Cloud.

    Hello,

    Yes, I would like to use Raspberry Pi as host for CCS Cloud. Basicly I would like write program on the websurface, compile it and download with the Debug Probe interface to Launchpad with eZFET. Basicly just like with CCS running on Debian x86, but on Raspberry with websupport.

    I  feel sad ARM linux not supported, it means msp430-gcc must be used, however the web surface would better.

    Also please consider that Raspberry is an excellent teaching computer for beginners and it would be good to support it with CSS Cloud on MSP430G2ET board.

    Hello John,

    I would like to do something similar what your scenarios are. I would like to write program on the websurface and download to the launchpad through Pi.

    Debug would be an extra option.
