run CCS4 directly from external drive

Hello @ All,

is it  possible to run CCS4 directly from any external drive( exteral hard disk, USB....)?

    Bassel,

    Although I never tried it myself, I've heard that some developers managed to do that. The only thing I can think could "break" anything is if the drive letter of the external disk changes between hosts. Also, if your company has a floating license and CCS is configured to look for its location in the registry or with environment variables, it may show up as unlicensed depending on the host configuration.

    I can try to do it myself, as it seems a good idea (when switching between the work and the home computer for development).
