CCS/CCSTUDIO: CCS component update

Part Number: CCSTUDIO

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

Customer is asking about CCS component update.
CCS version v6.1.0 is used in their factory.
They need to update the component of Debug Server Flash to ver 6.1.0.1425.
But they does not have internet environment.

The request is that how to update the components keeping CCS version 6.1.0 under NON internet environment.
.

Regards,

  • Yoshita,

Probably the best way to do this is for me to zip up the update site for this update and to attach it to this thread as a zip.  That can then be extracted into a temporary folder on a machine without internet access.  From CCS you would then run "Install New Software" from the help menu and point it to the folder containing the update.  It then install the update from that location.

I will test this out and then post the update zip.

    Regards,

    John

  • Yoshita,

I tested this out on my Windows machine and it works.

    1. Extract the attached zip into a temporary folder on the machine that needs the update
    2. In CCS go to "Install New Software" on the Help menu.
    3. Click on the "Add" button beside the update site box and then point it to the local update site which is the folder that was extracted.
    4. Select the discovered Debug Server Flash update.
    5. Proceed with the installation.

    update_dsflash_6.1.0.1425.zip

  • Hi,

    Thanks!
I've just confirmed that Debug Server Flash had been updated by following your instructions.

How did you get the zip file "update_dsflash_6.1.0.1425.zip"?
I couldn't find out the file in public web site.

    Regards,

  • Good to hear.

To get the zip I had to access our download server and zip up the update site.  It is not something that you would be able to do.

    Regards,

    John
