CCS: CCS5.5 Install Failure(Installer failed to install com.ti.ccstudio.debugserver.win32 correctly.) in win10

the fisrt time i install the ccs, the error is :Installer failed to install com.ti.ccstudio.debugserver.win32 correctly.8875.ccs_setup_5.5.0.00077_install.log

and second time, i do follow step:

  • Download the file software-dl.ti.com/.../sdo_ccstudio/scratchpad/ti_dspack_ibsetup_5.5.0.400.exe
  • Run the command:   ti_dspack_ibsetup_5.5.0.400.exe --mode unattended  --prefix "C:/ti/ccsv5" --eclipseprefix  "C:/ti/ccsv5/eclipse" 

then install failure again. and log pls refer zip.8304.60556FE5-C1A1-4061-8DF8-FFB8393BAE2D.zip

    Hello,

    Please note that CCSv5.5 is not supported on Windows 10. The earliest CCS version to officially support Windows 10 is CCSv6.1.3.

    In any case, I would strongly recommend using the latest version of CCS. Is there any particular reason you are trying to use an old obsolete version of CCS?

    yes, i need use Ti simulator.

    Yes, CCSv5.5 is the last version to support it.

    In addition to CCSv5.5 not being supported anymore, we also do not encourage using the old simulators. We have completely dropped all support for it. It you run into any issues, we will be unable to help.

    If you insist on using CCSv5.5 and simulators, I suggest running on Windows 7 or 8. Those OS were officially supported by CCSv5.5. Many people use vertual machines for older OS.
