IN short range radar demo it just work in 2 dimension can i change it for 3-d and why it is in 2-d in demo ?

Hi Adnan,

AWR1642BOOST EVM doesn't have antenna to look for elevation view compare to it has azimuth view. So it has 2-D view not fully 3-D view.

Whereas AWR1843BOOST uses one Tx antenna which adds to elevation view and MRR (medium range radar) demo can provide 3-D view. GUI doesn't have 3-D view but it uses two separate plots (x-y and y-z plot) to show 3-D equivalent view of the scene.

R u sure about that? it does not have antenna for elevation but why in obstacle detection its showing 3d view ?

Hi Adnan,

In ODS it has different placement of one Rx antenna which provides the elevation info along with azimuth.

Below snapshot will provide you some insight for elevation vs azimuth for ODS vs BOOST antenna.
