Hi All,

I am new to Tms320f28335 and I am working on eZdsp Kit of Tms320f28335 and using CCStudio 3.3 software for building up the code. I had written a simple program to toggle the LED. I had programmed it by using USB JTAG provided with the kit. It is working properly, but the program is executed from the SARAM region in the controller. Later on I found the utility called as SD Flash to program the Flash. But I am not getting it. I tried to make changes in the command file, it compiles it successfully but when I try it to program through USB JTAG it gives an error that "Data verification failed at address 0x300000". Is there anything that I am missing or doing wrong ? Or the CCStudio or the eZdsp Kit doesnt allow to program the Flash ?

Iqbal,

The error you are getting is spawned when the memory contents at address 0x300000 are different than they were supposed to be - in other words, the flash memory is not being correctly written.

There are multiple reasons for why this can happen, and my suggestion is to follow the SDFlash troubleshooting guide at Spectrum Digital's page, especially question 1.3:

Just FYI, CCStudio also has a flash memory programmer: just go to menu Tools --> F28xx On-chip Flash Programmer. It is highly recommended to have the latest Service Release installed.

Thanks Rafael, I will go through it. But one thing on which I am getting confused is that, at reset, normally the program counter points to 0th location of the memory, But in tms320f28335 controller, this region is falls in SARAM. As RAM is a volatile memory and after reset it contents get vanishes, then how the controller will know, where to jump to execute the main code ? Is the starting address of controller is different ?
