Should ARM9 work on the functional simulator?

Older versions of CCS (v5.5 and earlier) provided simulators for ARM9. Note that these were ARM926EJ-S Device Cycle Accurate Simulator and ARM9e CPU Cycle Accurate Simulator. They were not functional simulators.
Note that these simulators are not actively supported and are not available in newer versions of CCS.

Typically for sys/bios you select a "platform" that the application is going to run on. For OMAPL138 I see a platform for the EVM but not for the simulator. I will need to loop in a sys/bios expert to answer that question.

I heard back from our SYS/BIOS team. Running on the ARM926 simulator is not supported. In general TI strongly encourages using a real development board instead of a simulator. In new versions we don't even include simulators.
