Can you provide some additional information about what you would like to do?  I am not sure that I understand your goal.  It is generally up to the developer to create the application and know how to validate its behavior.

Are you asking how to set a breakpoint in the program?

The materials from this archived F2802x Workshop may be useful for learning the basics of the C2000 architecture and how to use CCS.

For hands-on verification, you would probably want a physical evaluation kit. For general software examples, you can see the C2000Ware Digital Power SDK. Most of the TI examples rely on SFRA to self-measure the plant and open loop response.

The F2802x Workshop that I referenced is a good introduction to the fundamental features used in control. It covers both the ADC and EPWM actuation without needing a full kit.
