CCS/LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: CCS v9.20 Periodic workspace save has encountered and error?

Hi,

It is second time now using CCSv9.20 I am getting this pop up with message "Periodic workspace save has encountered and error"? What could cause this? Should I just ignore it?

Can you attach the .log file in your <WORKSPACE>/.metadata folder?

Thanks. The issue seems to lie with the Remote System Explorer (RSE) plugin - or specifically, issues with writing RSE related metadata files to the workspace. Are you using that plugin? In any case, I'm not sure why there are write issues to your workspace. Did you try using a new workspace folder? If so (and if it didn't help), try creating a 'RemoteSystemsTempFiles' folder inside '.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.resources\.projects'. Make sure that you have write access to this location.

I do not know. I just install CCSv9.20. This is happening at 2 PC with CCSv9.20 installed. I will try your solution tomorrow.

Keep us posted. If a new workspace does not work (and you do not use the plugin), then the next step would be to disable the RSE UI.

I disable the RSE UI, I will create a new post if the error happens again.
