Did you get the "echo" example working?

If so, right before main enters the while(1) loop, add your characters with pauses in between:

[Driver Lib shown]

UART_transmitData(EUSCI_A0, 'H');

//delay one character time

UART_transmitData(EUSCI_A0, 'e');

// delay one character time

where can i find the echo example? Also, is there some latency in the Serial Communication when using the emulator and debugging?

Hi I tried to add the line of code to transmit characters but it is giving me an error on that line

Your example is register based, not driverlib based. You need to use:

UCA0TXBUF = 'H';

ok, how would i make it driverlib based?

I don't know for the MSP430's.

Is there a way to send Hello World as a string instead of individual characters?
