CCS/CCSTUDIO: Can't install older C6000 Compiler Tools from within CCS 9.2

When I try to install C6000 Compiler Tools version 7.4.6 or 8.2.1 from "Help -> Install Code Generation Compiler Tools...", I receive the following error when the installation occurs (on the next restart of CCS):

I did not have any issues installing C6000 CGT 8.2.1 but did get the same error as you when installing 7.4.6. I will file a bug report for this.

In the meantime, you can download and install 7.4.6 from http://software-dl.ti.com/codegen/non-esd/downloads/download_archive.htm
