TMS320C6713 DSP's Compatibility with Code Composer Studio IDE v4

Hi,

 

I need to check if the DSP TMS320C6713  is compatible with Code Composer Studio IDE V4? I have the regular CCS IDE V4 installation disk.

A local TI rep explained that the 6000 series DSP  is covered by the platinum license.  Is this correct?
 
Please advise in detail as to what should I do?

    Yes, a CCSv4 platinum license will cover all the ISA, including C6000

    What emulator do you plan on using with CCSv4? Are you looking for help on how to set up your target configuration?

    Yes, a CCSv4 platinum license will cover all the ISA, including C6000

    Thanks for your prompt response.

    I am confused;  CCS  IDE  v4 installation disk that I currently have is around $400 of price, whereas the platinum license is around $1700 of price; You said DSP TMS320C6713  is compatible with CCS  IDE V4; So am I correct to assume that I do not require to purchase the platinum license as the $400  CCS IDE 4 version that I have would work just fine?

    Then you probably have a CCSv4 Microcontroller license, which is $495. This does NOT support C6000.

    You will need a Platinum license.

    Note that the DVD installation disk is the same for both microcontroller and platinum. What license you give it will determine which ISAs you can use.
