CCS/MSP-EXP432P401R: CCS V8 - can't connect 432 Launch Pad.

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Upgraded to V8 (I have Win7 32 bit) after about a year away. Debug will not connect to the Launch Pad. The 'Test Connection' in the ccxml editor seems to work but no debug. The target configuration is shown below. It launches the file to 100% on the indicator in the lower right corner but the run menu is 'blanked/faded" and there is no option to step, free run, or start the program and it does not appear to erase the target. It did work about a year ago in V7. I updated the installation and rebooted the PC - nothing helped. If I click Resource Explorer at any point I just get a "not responding" condition

    You mentioned upgrading to CCSv8. Are you using a new clean workspace folder with CCSV8? If you are using your old workspace from v7, please try using a new workspace folder.

    Can you provide a screenshot of the CCS IDE when this happens?

  • Thanks for the reply. I resolved the problem by deleting all the relevant folders and updating/installing the TIREX software. It works fine now.
